Just when you thought things will have calmed down for Wu_Tang's most notorious member Ol' Dirty Bastard, he gets pulled over and arrested for one of the most serious crimes you can commit-Attempted murder on a cop. That's right you read it right. Over the weekend, ODB was driving his car in Brooklyn when he was pulled over for what should've been a routine traffic violation..He was driving with his headlights off. Some how an altercation insued and according to police reports ODB pulled a gun and shot at them. The police shot back but no one was injured an ODB was arrested on the spot. His partner fled the scene and was caught a few hours later.

ODB whose real name is Russell Jones steadfastly maintains he was innocent and in fact there was no weapon found at the scene. He was released on 150 thousand dollars bail and is current awaiting the results of paraffin tests which will determine whether or not he did indeed shot a gun.

This whole saga not only adds another bizarre chapter in the life and times of ODB but it also reflects the ongoing strain between rap stars and police. Check out tthe accompanying article which includes a letter that I receieved from Vinnie of Naughty By Nature. ODB has been known to do some crazy things. Let's hope he didn't try to murder police officers. If he did he can pretty much kiss his career goodbye. On the othger hand, people are wondering as to whether the cops in Brooklyn's 77th precint attempted to set up ODB because of his previous troubles...Mmmmmmm.. It makes you think.
